Another finish !
This top had been completed June 2015 and it seemed a real shame not to be in use.
So I loaded on the Handi Quilter and got it done !
Really happy how it turned out.

All the fabrics came from my stash and they all have stripes or dots and I did not even use all from my collection; actually I did  not realise how many I had !
Noddy is the 'pin up' boy this time....
With the help of my daughter...
 Just relaxing...
I still many more tops to quilt because I keep making them.... In fact I have another quilt already loaded so next blog post I will show it.

I am also doing some blocks from two of Bonnie K Hunter's quilts; if I like them enough they will become quilts too...

A couple of years ago I participated in Bonnie Hunter's mystery quilt. I had done a couple of her mysteries before so I was keen to do another one.
So here is my version of Grand Illusion.

There was quite a lot of pieces to sew and cut and although I did cut all the pieces and made up most of the blocks in the end I did not want to have such a large quilt.

This quilt is going to be a gift for a work colleague who turns 60 in a few months time.
He's a mathematician, so I think he'll appreciate the intricate patterns and shapes of the blocks.

The quilting is very open and basic because too  much quilting would probably clash with the busyness of the many pieces.

I have a couple of other quilts on the go, mainly scrap quilts and a couple of other tops ready to be loaded on the Handiquilter.  Now I just have to 'squeeze' more time to get all this done !
