My friend Stan and I made a joint quilt to give away.
I cut the fabric, pieced the blocks and quilted and he did all the applique.
It was fun to do it and a good learning exercise for Stan.

This quilt was made to donate to a group who regularly makes quilts for children (under 16) who attend the children's hospital for various forms of treatment.
Most of the fabrics are donated so it was fun to make quilts with fabrics I did not pick myself.
The blocks are 8 1/2".
I completed this quilt top last week.
I was given a few random scraps and I added a few more from my stash to be able to do the borders.
This quilt has been in progress for many years !
I am determined to have it completed by the end of the year. Probably need another 40 or so blocks to be the size I planned.
The blocks are 4 1/2" and are stitched on a thin interfacing as a foundation. They come out very accurate and no precise cutting of the logs is necessary as they are trimmed by scissors along the way. It's a lot of fun using up tiny scraps of all types of fabrics and quite addictive.
I had a bunch of 2 1/2" squares so I made this quilt for a relative overseas.
Apologies for the image quality.
