Final block (block 20) of Civil War Bride Quilt

Finally completed the last block of my quilt !

It has been nearly two years, although I have done many other projects at the same time.
I'm still planning to do an applique border and eventually will have it quilted.

I had some visitors in my garden to keep me company with their magnificient appearance...

Sometimes the dog scared them away so they still kept me company from the safety of the trees...

Now that the weather is so much better, I have been dividing my time between quilting and gardening. This past weekend, I planted some vegetables and other plants.
Some more beautiful roses from my garden...

  4. Congratulations on your awesome finish. You've must have spent so many hours stitching all those tiny pieces.
    The quilt will look amazing.
Now that I'm into needle turn I can evaluate the gigantic task that making those blocks was.
I'm still struggling with stitching small circles, they don't look very round, have to try harder.

  8. Celia,

Valeu a pena o trabalho de horas nesta colcha que ficou magnífica! Isto é um verdadeiro tesouro!
Visitas de pássaros são sempre bem vindas ao jardim, são complementos das flores que estão lindas.

  10. It's been fun watching your progress on this quilt and I look forward to seeing your border! Are you designing it yourself or did the pattern suggest one? Do you know how you'll be setting the blocks?

  11. Celia dear, you have done an amazing work on your hand applique...I am so inspired cos I like to do hand applique too more than machine applique. Very well done Celia dear though it took you a long time to complete but at last it will be a treasure for you and family.
    Hugs.
